11 TORS CHALLENGE - Saturday 5th september 2020 (covid-permitting!)
At the moment, it is not certain whether the 11 Tors Challenge will take place this year - much depends on our actions over the next few months. It may be the case that it can go ahead but at the last minute, in which case payment may have to be on the day. There will be no online registration until social distancing restrictions and Government advice permits the event to go ahead. Any new information will be announced here and on our Facebook page. Stay well everyone.
Rise to the 11 Tors Challenge! DSRT Tavistock’s 11 Tors Challenge is this major charity walk for people who love Dartmoor and the outdoors. It also helps the team raise much needed funds.
There are 2 walks lengths, both starting and finishing at Princetown. The walks are open to anyone, although children under 18 years of age must be in a family group.
Checkpoints are manned with DSRT (Tavistock) personnel. Other DSRT (Tavistock) personnel and marshals will be on hand at road crossings and the only water crossing to ensure safety.
11 Tors Challenge Walk (starts 09:15 – 09:45 am)

Family Challenge Walk (starts 10:15 – 10:45 am)
This route is around 5 miles and takes in Foggintor via the disused railway track, Rundlestone Tor and North Hessary Tor, and returning to Princetown.
Challengers are asked to form teams if possible. Each team member is requested to donate £12 each for the walk (£5 each for children). At the end of the Challenge each team participant will receive a bespoke designed metal and enamel pin badge.
Event T-shirts are also available to buy before the Challenge. These are priced at £12 each and are locally produced using 100% cotton.
